The performing artists all have a long involvement
with moyo, from being discovered by moyo, first performing at
moyo, or being a moyo regular, all delight the moyo patrons
at Melrose Arch, Spier or the Market night after night. The artists hail from
all around the African continent; the Congo,
Zimbabwe,
South Africa.
1 night at moyo live is a variety of different styles, from Afro Jazz to
Afro Funk. It has Afro Ambiant, KwassaKwassa......providing the sort of sounds
to delight, wherever you are. |

The Bassline |
|
Over the years the
Bassline provided the platform for the riise of many
artists to the main stage. Vusi Mahlasela, Zim
Ngqawana, the late Moses Molelekwa, Paul Hanmer &
Jimmy Dlu Dlu to name a few, all started at the
Bassline playing to small houses. By 2003 the
Bassline was booked to capacity when any of the
above artists preformed. The Bassline was fortunate
to host Abdullah Ibrahim annually; this was due to
the consistently high quality of live music
production, which related to the Bassline earning
its reputation as the most respected jazz club in
SA.
